Artist's Comments

“Experience, which destroys innocence, also leads one back to it.”

James Arthur Baldwin

I've been thinking about it. While you are so pure like the first virgin snow, I am like the darkest side of devil's heart. I've seen so much and I've been hurt many, many times. I have lost my innocence... all of it. Yet I have gained experience which I value more than anything. But when I'm with you, I'm slowly regaining my scattered pieces - so you can make me whole...

Critiques

:iconendorell-taelos:
This is my first go at a critique and since you had suggested (in the deviation comments) that I submit it as a critique I did so. And Maybe I will do more :giggle:

I was thinking for one considering that the angel has a dark side to her as well that the side where she has the black wing it could be darker within the picture and the darkness trying to consume the entire picture...

But I see here that the light within the picture would be the obvious focus and if it would be remade into something I suggested with the darkness trying to consume the whole picture, but the light will break through the darkness. Perhaps it could be that the darkness and the light are conflicting with each other all the while the angel is crying for freedom of the conflict and to return to the innocence she once had and heal the saddness and conflict within her..

But overall I love this picture, it is soo beautiful!

I'm not going to submit this as a critique because I haven't had great practice for it, and this would be somewhat a first.. So I will just had it here. :)

The tones are really beautiful and she seems underwater, it's a cool effect.... your whole piece is very emotional and I like the contrast of her wings....
However I think you should have made more dark colors..... but it's just my opinion....
